Employee Assistance Programme

The EAP offers cover for employees and their immediate family members residing at the same address, including children in full-time education.  


The service provides access to:

Perkbox - Retail Discounts

Through Perkbox, we provide a discount retail platform for our staff offering an extensive range of free goods/services and discounts including:

free mobile phone insurance, free breakdown cover, as well as discounts from companies including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, M & S, Boots, Amazon, Argos, Apple, HP, Cineworld, Vue and thousands more. 


The Wellness Hub provides access to free programmes and heavily discounted use of several national health and fitness centres. 

Once you have been registered on Perkbox by the HR Central Team, you will receive a welcome email from Perkbox detailing all the information you require to redeem the benefits.

Travel Ticket Loans


After having successfully passed the probationary period employees are eligible to apply for an interest free Travel Ticket Loan that can be used for purchase of a season travel ticket for bus or train travel.

This benefit allows employees to purchase an annual season ticket, but rather than having to buy the ticket themselves the Trust will purchase it on their behalf. Employees then repay the cost of the ticket via approved monthly instalments, taken directly from their salary over a pre-set fixed period.


Further Benefits:

By purchasing a season ticket in this way employees will receive an additional 10% discount from the cost of a First Bus season ticket.

There is no discount for the rail season ticket, however the scheme is valid with purchase of any rail company season ticket.

Cyclescheme - Bicycle Purchase Loans

Save money on a new bike and spread the cost!

Employee's can request bicycle purchase loans up to the value of £1,000. 

Through enrolment with Cyclescheme employees can save 25-39% (or even more) on their bike (and/or accessories) purchased. The benefit of the scheme is that you will pay nothing upfront and payments will be taken tax efficiently from your salary directly.

Loans received must be repaid by 12 equal payments, that are taken direct from your salary each month.

Long Service Award - £400

A gift of up to £400 is available to all employees on a permanent contract working over 10 hours per week and after 25 years continual service. The Trust recognises previous service for all employees that have joined the Trust under TUPE transfers.

Employee Referral Scheme - £250

£250 payable to the employee making the referral - following successful completion of the probationary period of the new member of staff (new staff member must be on a permanent contract working 25 hours+ per week).
