IT HELP DESK TECHNICIAN – VENTURERS TRUST

Permanent, full-time (37 hours per week) All Year Round (requirement to travel between Trust schools).

Venturers Trust is an emerging Multi Academy Trust based in Bristol formed through the merger of CGS Trust and Merchants’ Academy Trust in September 2017. Comprising Primary, Secondary, all-age schools and a Special school the Trust has 3,200 pupils and 700 staff.

A vacancy has arisen for an IT Help Desk Technician to work across the Trust with a committed team of professionals to provide telephone, remote & onsite IT Support service to staff and students across the Trust.  

The role of the IT Help Desk Technician offers the chance to drive the technical performance of the central team services and our academies, which serve some of the most varied communities in Bristol. You will have the opportunity to be part of a team that will secure the very best outcomes for children and support for staff within Venturers Trust.

You will be joining a highly innovative, inspirational and ambitious organisation, so we are seeking an outstanding Team member who can help us realise the highest possible quality of services to support our educational vision, to enable the organisation to achieve the best possible outcomes for students.

The successful candidate will have: -

• Excellent troubleshooting skills, backed by a clear, analytical approach to problem solving

• Ability to self-manage, organise, and prioritise tasks and work under pressure 

• NVQ Level 4, or equivalent significant experience working within a network/PC support role

• Experience of supporting SIMS.net

• A willingness to undertake formal training to obtain the necessary skills and knowledge for the role, e.g. new hardware or software.

• Driving Licence and own transport
