Students attend Concorde's 50th Anniversary event

In the Easter holiday's six students from across the Trust were selected to join HRH Princess Anne and other invited guests to a black tie dinner to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the first flight from Filton of Concorde. The event was organised to celebrate Concorde's Legacy and to inspire the next generation of aerospace engineers.

The whole evening was fantastic from the opportunity to walk inside Concorde and talk to engineers and pilots that had worked on this amazing aeroplane; to the incredible English themed meal (including cucumber sandwich cake!); as well as talking to new engineers about the exciting Apprenticeship Scheme.

A highlight for everyone, causing silence throughout, was when Concorde performed its first nose droop since the aircraft engines were shut down and it was decommissioned in November 2003.
